School competitions of all age groups are a major component during spring and summer term times.  These competitions take place during daytime when the track is not available to the general community.  If you are interested in booking for your school or District competitions, please enquire in good time as during term time the track and field facility is heavily used.

Staffordshire County Schools Championships

The Mason Trophy
A 10 county prelude and final opportunity for young athletes to qualify for the English School T & F Championships

A Midland senior track and field Competition

A Young Athlete Development League competitions.

City of Stoke Athletic Club

Northwood Stadium is the home to City of Stoke Athletics club, who have sole use of the facility for training every Tuesday and Thursday evening (17:30-21:00) and Saturday mornings 9:00 to 13:00.  Stoke AC offer full support from qualified coaches in a safe, friendly environment, from beginners, age 9 and upwards, to international athletes. It is a fantastic club who have guided athletes from an early age to go on to represent England and Great Britain at Olympic games, World and Commonwealth Championships. At all other times when the stadium is open the track and field facilities are available to other clubs and to individuals on a pay as you go basis.

Because of the wide range and levels of athletics which can be accommodated we need to ensure the safety of those using the track and field facility.  It is essential that we understand the numbers of users training within the facility together with their needs for equipment and that young children in particular are adequately supervised.
